The Ventura County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR) is under the Aviation Unit and consists of highly-trained volunteers who respond to search for lost, missing, injured or trapped persons anywhere in the county.. The SAR teams include three Alpine teams, Canine team, Medical team, Dive team, and Mounted team.
